Sam Snyder

Master's Student, Materials Science and Engineering

Sam graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on polymeric materials. He joined the DREAMS lab in the summer after graduating. He was recognized by ASM Materials Education Foundation with the “2017 Undergraduate Design Competition” award for his capstone design project, and helped publish a paper on the completed work in a Special Edition of Polymer. Sam is currently pursuing his Master’s with a focus in the additive manufacturing of semi-crystalline polymeric materials though material extrusion. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. in Engineering Education with a focus in engineering ethics.
